2005 Harmony Award
Winner - Cynthia Jellison

The High Country Barbershop Chorus annually presents the "Harmony Award" to "a deserving person who promotes vocal music in the White Mountains". The Chorus proudly presented the second annual award to Cynthia Jellison during the intermission of the 2005 show.
Cynthia hails from Minnesota and has been active in music in this area for many years. She has been the choir director for the White Mountain United Methodist church for more than 25 years, developed/created the White Mountain Chorale and has been the director (and CEO?) of this group since its inception. She is retired from teaching music in Whiteriver and is currently a member of Right Occasions, a woman's acappella group. Cynthia is past president of the White Mountain Musical Arts Club, and continues to be a loyal support to that organization. She is also a past board member of the Arts Alliance of the White Mountains. At the start of the year 2000, Cynthia created a commemorative concert with singers coming from Navajo County and parts of Apache County to participate. It was a true community effort. Cynthia is also involved in her homeowners association and in addition directs an ecumenical choir called Rejoice.
