The High Country Barbershop Chorus
We are the High Country Barbershop Chorus, White Mountains Arizona Chapter. We presently have 30 men singing in the Chorus with two quartets, The Pine Tones and Crook's Trail.
The Chapter was started in 2000 by our director (Doc) 
Dockendorf. We provide a yearly Barbershop Harmony show at the Blue Ridge High School Auditorium in Pinetop-Lakeside. The Show is usually held in July which is a great time of the year because of our beautiful cool weather.
The High Country Chorus has a close working partnership with Northland Pioneer College (NPC), and the chapter's meeting night rehearsal is the Music 199 course at the college, with chorus members receiving college credit for attending. Benjamin Schoening, Director of Bands and Choirs, is the NPC representative on the Chapter Board of Directors.
We also do a lot of local community events and of course Christmas shows at Wal-Mart and several nursing homes in the area. We do a Singing Valentine service for the local communities around Valentines day.
