Matinee Idles Jay Hoffman - Bari Ed Johnson - Bass Merk Merker - Lead Thom McGorray - Tenor Phoenix, AZ, April 19, 2008. By virtue of its improvment over last year's Division Contest scores, the Tucson Barbershop Experience was awarded the Most Improved Chorus trophy. The chorus also captured the Plateau A Championship and qualified to represent the Division in the Far Western District Contest in October 2008. Beginning with the rehearsal on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, the Tucson Chapter will be meeting and rehearsing at the Tucson Jewish Community Center. The Center is located at 3800 E River Road (at Dodge). Recently Alvernon Road was extended and now connects to River Road. Traveling north on Alvernon from Ft. Lowell Rd. you will turn on Dodge and be able to enter the south parking lot.
