Ancient Harmonious Society Of Woodshedders, Inc.AHSOW seeks to preserve the art of pure woodshedding in barbershop harmony through four men blending their voices without use of written arrangements. AHSOW is the largest subsidiary of SPEBSQSA with 1400 members. Far Western District AHSOW member count is 220 (larger than any regular chapter in the District). Members are admitted after demonstrating the ability to improvise at least two harmony parts. Dues are nominal and include an annual Directory, badge, song book, web site, discounts on merchandise, and newsletter. Society members please visit the AHSOW Room at International and District events and request to be auditioned on two or more harmony parts of your choice (T, Bt, or Bs). Inexperienced quartetters may take the Woodshedding Class at HCW. More info at the AHSOW website.
