The Beeliners

Half of this quartet lives in the Valley and
the other half lives in the mountains
of Payson, AZ. They travel back and forth
to rehearsals along the "Beeline Highway"
Thus "The Beeliners".

Hospitality

Jim Milner - Baritone Bob McColl - Bass Lee Bourgeois - Lead Rudy Sikler - Tenor

Hospitality has had several starts and interrupts, with different configurations of leads and tenors. Bob McColl, Bass, and Jim Milner, Baritone began in 1998, and Lee Bourgeois, Lead, joined in 2001, with Tenor Rudy Sikler coming on board in 2005. The objectives of the quartet are to have fun, ring chords and entertain the audience, with no intent to go to competition. The members have piled up over 140 years of barbershop singing experience.

The Lighter Side

A FUN SENIOR QUARTET

CHUCK NICOLOFF- Tenor

Chuck is a 50-year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society. He has sung in many quartets over this span. He was 14-year veteran with the Schizo-Phonics, a popular comedy quartet in the Chicago area. He also sang in Shades of Grey, 1993 FWD Senior Champion and Pastense, 2001 FWD Super Senior Champion. He also sang with the Phoenicians for 11 years.

LARRY CALLIGHER- Lead

Larry is long time barbershopper, and has sung in seven different choruses, including earning a gold medal with the Masters of Harmony. He is also a veteran of many quartets including, Revised Edition. He is also director of the Sun Lakes Barbershop Chorus.

PAUL SULLIVAN- Baritone

Paul is a fairly recent import from the Granite Statesmen in Nashua, New Hampshire. He is a retired Air Force Flight Instructor and currently sings with the Spirit of Phoenix Chorus.

BRIAN JOHNSON- Bass

Brian was the original bass of a very popular quartet from Fresno, CA, The Atonic Explosion. He moved here in the early 1900's to get away from that quartets insanity only to be fall in the evil companions of The Lighter Side.

2 Under Par

Tenor Barney "Birdie" Griffin was born and raised in the heart of our Country and cut his teeth on the BarberShop style longer ago than he is willing to admit. His introduction to our style of music started with a lot of quartet singing and that has been his love ever since.

Lead Charlie "Par" Nardin was introduced to the BarberShop style of music while in Junior High and his love for this musical style never died.

Bass Dick "Eagle" Moore came out West from Poughkeepsie New York a few years ago to retire and enjoy the life style of our beautiful Sonoran Desert. He brings us 8 years of BarberShop experience.

Terry "Bogey" Gregg, the baritone of our quartet, came to the Valley of the Sun to serve the county in the Air Force and has stayed ever since.

Our quartet members, all members of the LampLighters Chorus as well as the Arizona Quartet Chapter, soon learned we all played golf and decided it would be a more fun if we played in a Quartet rather than a Foursome. We can be found performing at several of the local restaurants in the East Valley and if you find us on the links you will see a new and rather unique reason for slow play. If you are interested in hearing us sing, contact us and we will let you know what our plans are for the next few days. Also, we would love be on the program as the entertainment for the next party or gathering you have in your plans. We have sung for a variety of organizations and events in the past and will fit into your plans as well. We would love to be considered for the entertainment at your next party or event. For additional information, or to find out where you might hear us sing, contact Charlie Nardin, chzsingslead@cox.net or give him a call at (480) 699-9259. We also can be found on at the LampLighters web site at www.evbarbershop.com.

Now please sit back and enjoy a little bit of the past with some BarberShop style entertainment. Add us up; we are 2 Under Par, Birdie, Par, Eagle, & Bogey.
