In This Issue San Jose Convention Update Convention Activities Update Chapter Officer Voting Time COTS Registration Time San Jose Convention Update The Fall District Convention in San Jose is just a few days away. Online registrations are closed, but you can still register at the convention. Hotel space is tight, so be sure you have a place to stay. The Convention Website has just been updated with the latest info including airport arrival and parking. The best parking deal is city public parking. Be sure to click on the weekend schedule on the website. Some rooms have changed. ========== Convention Activities Update The fall convention has the most choices of extra activities ever. With three full tracks of classes, there should be something for everyone. The really new class is at 3pm on Friday. Three certified judges will explain what they look for in contest and then they will judge the HIT quartet in one song and explain their result. Then they'll coach the quartet for a bit and the quartet will sing another song. This class should really be called the One Hour Convention and Contest. Check out all the classes at Fall District Convention Activities. The best way to start the convention is to join us at the Harmony For Lunch Bunch at Harry's Hofbrau. It's on Saratoga Avenue just off I-280. Check out the Map to Harry's Hofbrau and we'll see you there at 11am. ========== Chapter Officer Voting Time If your chapter hasn't selected your 2007 officers yet, now is the time. Once the vote is taken, your chapter secretary or president can register them on the BHS Members Only website. It's easy and there are no paper forms to fill in and mail. ========== COTS Registration Time The online registration forms for COTS are now ready and on the Far Western District Members Only website. Just go to the FWD website and click on Members only. In the general section there is a link for an individual to register. In the officers section there is a link to register a group of officers and leaders. This is a very automated process with very little typing required. ========== Attention Chapter Secretaries Members of your chapter without email will not receive this information and we ask you to print this and share it with them. ==========
